Mid-Atlantic Ovarian Cancer Symposium
June 15 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
MedStar Health is excited to present the Mid-Atlantic Ovarian Cancer Symposium, taking place June 15, 2019 at the Bethesda Marriott in Bethesda, Maryland. Eight steps in the management of ovarian cancer will be addressed by carefully chosen speakers and debaters. Controversial management strategies will be targeted and three debates are planned. These include goals of cytoreduction, use of HIPEC, and use of long-term IP chemotherapy. Use of HIPEC in recurrent disease is also a central focus. After each of the eight topics/debates a series of 5-10 questions will be directed at the audience and their responses recorded. After the symposium, a clinical pathway will be constructed based on the presentations and audience feedback, and sent to each participant.
This conference is intended for medical and surgical oncologists, gynecologists, physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team interested in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 8 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change by attending this conference.
