ACS Seeks Your Input On MD’s Surprise Billing Law

The American College of Surgeons(ACS) Federal lobbyists are meeting with staff for Senators Van Hollen and Cardin tomorrow to discuss the current congressional proposals to address surprise billing. The senators have specifically asked ACS’s opinion on how we perceive Maryland’s existing law on surprise billing for out of network care. ACS would like to know if you have any experience billing for reimbursement under the state’s law and your opinion as to how it is or is not working, in addition to any other anecdotal information you would like to share.

ACS needs responses before 3:00 pm tomorrow, Friday, July 12. Send your responses to Chris Johnson at
